OUR MISSION
In our classroom, we encourage children to explore, question, and discover at their own pace. Through hands-on learning and imaginative play, we nurture independent thinking and problem-solving skills, while fostering a strong sense of compassion and respect for others. We believe that every child is capable and competent, and we support their growth by providing opportunities to build confidence, develop social-emotional skills, and express creativity. By valuing curiosity, kindness, and resilience, we prepare children not only for school, but for a lifetime of learning and caring engagement with the world around them.

"My family has just completed 4 years at Meadowlark Preschool in Alamo, and it was a huge success for our 2 children/grandchildren. I wanted thecommunity to know that since TK programs are taking more 4-year-olds,Meadowlark is a perfect place for children aged 2 years 5 months and up.Children attend 2, 3, or 5 mornings a week depending on age. In a lovely setting, the developmental, play-based program includes art, science, stories, music, and a great deal of indoor and outdoor choice time for the nurturing of social skills and friendships. Our kids grew and thrived in the 6:1 ratio of adults to kids. Parent participation is welcomed (and there’s a tuition break for that!) and the parents’ friendships grow as rapidly as the children’s"

“My child had a lot of separation anxiety when we first started at Meadowlark. The teachers were compassionate, caring, and made my child feel safe immediately. A unique feature of Meadowlark is the home visit before the school year, where my son gravitated toward his teacher immediately. This teacher knew how hard the first week would be for my child (and myself!) and sent me detailed emails after every class to let me know how he was doing. She constantly let me know that we were part of a team and was always open to communication. Meadowlark allows kids to be kids. They play hard and get outside a lot. There are so many rotating stations and creative art projects to choose from. Although I know parents like updates on their kids, I’m so happy that the Meadowlark teachers don’t waste their time on iPads to send us live updates….instead they are on the ground with the kids, fully present. Yes, my child learned to write this year, but above all, I watched my child’s confidence grow so much while at this school. I am so grateful for the teachers at Meadowlark and truly believe they will be in our lives as my child grows up.”

It’s hard to explain how special Meadowlark has been to our family - we’ve had two boys that have been through their program the last three years and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. Meadowlark is a place where our children feel safe and loved, a place where they have learned numerous skills and life lessons that have set the foundation for the social and emotional journey ahead of them - but most of all, it is a place we trust with all our hearts. The love and dedication the teachers pour into the school, the children, and the families that attend is palpable. They do so much to ensure that Meadowlark is more than a preschool, it is a community of young families. They host art show events, family nights, parent education nights - we have met the most amazing families through this community and are grateful for the environment Meadowlark has fostered
